April 26, 2004

The entranced look on ten-year-old Jared's face is what I love - his inability to hear anything or see anything beyond the electronic box. I grew up in a television-loving household and it warms the cockles of my heart to see my children love it as much as I do (and I mean that completely and thoroughly tongue in cheek...as they say). Thank goodness we live in Southern California where the warm weather does actually propel my children outside...except when it's 100 degrees.

I was torn between the above shot and this other one which portrays the unbreakable love of siblings ----> http://www.pbase.com/image/28364382

Spellbound expression. Hypnotic power a TV has;)

Have to admit although I am being disagreeable I feel TV is wasteful time and children should spend more time reading, cleaning their rooms, playing outside..as I look over at my daughter watching TV with the same spellbound intense expression. *sigh*

Nice job... the intensity on his face and the slight glow really tell the story of how in to the tv he was.

Oh I'm glad you think so, Adalberto! This is true - I couldn't do this with the kit lens. I've already tried!
