Rain Forest Lizards - A Diorama by Adin

Ahh...Adin's first-grade science project - pure misery for my Adin to sit down and work on. For days we've been looking at books, and talking about the "lizard culture." Their issues, their struggles...the goals of lizards in the rain forest. Finally, David sat with Adin and Marah, and all three cranked out the dreaded project. Yay! Accomplishment. A wonderful feeling.

So, I was about to go to bed without a picture of the day, when I stopped to see how the diorama was drying. I decided to take a shot of it for posterity. I'm sure he'll get an "A"!

You know, you are all reminding me - I think school has changed a lot. I do not remember my parents involved in homework and projects to the degree we are. Now that could be a factor of my parents' personalities versus mine, but I also think the projects were all "doable" by the students. There is no way my son could have put together a "diorama" without significant help. Same with every other project he's been given. Thanks for popping in here, everyone!

Good luck to Adin on this one, although it looks like a GREAT project and I'm sure he'll do well. I dread when my sons have to do these.. I myself hated science project time in grade school!
