So, day 2 and things are (I hope) getting a little better. I am happier with this one than yesterdays effort. Again, I took a few different shots of this postbox, starting off with a little more frontal view. This was to hide the lampost behind the box, however, I wasn't happy with just the postbox against the sky, I felt that the picture was lacking a balancing feature. Moving a little more to the side brought the lamp into shot and, I feel, helps to balance the shot. I particularly like the fact that there is a cloud behind the lamp, adding to the contrast. I feel the dark lamp column would be a bit lost against the blue. I also lightened the lower half of the sky a little in the computer, I felt that the picture was a little oppressive otherwise.
