On the Blink

Ahh well. I spent the day party-hopping. The morning was at a baby shower, the afternoon at my brother's place for his step-daughter's birthday. Lovely, lovely. And the entire time I had my camera, recording the events. Then...suddenly...right after the "Happy Birthday," the camera died. Just went dead. Neither of my two fully-charged batteries work.

I'm so sad!!

As such...who knows when I'll get things up and running. Since my warranty is at a particular store, I have to truck over there, and it's my understanding, items don't go out for repair until Wednesday.

I'm so sad!!

What is it? Looking for the brightness despite the dark.

This is AMAZING. Kind of has a dark gothlike beauty to it! (I'm always a sucker for those) Sorry to hear about your camera though, hope you get it fixed soon.

That's a beautiful interpretation, jypsee. And yes, I understand about the stress at hearing of a dead rebel. As a note, this problem I had...was the exact same problem that happened with my first digital camera: a Canon. Eek! I still love this camera, though. I'll just be sure to keep up the extended warranty...lol!

Hurray!!...I was so stunned to learn of yet another dead DReb that I neglected to say how this picture looks to me: the rose is becoming less robust, but aging into something more beautiful....like we do, in real life.

Thanks everyone for your very nice comments on the picture - a late night venture, before the horrible death of "La Rebel." I have good news, though (good assurance for you, jypsee). My extended warranty indeed came in handy - I took the broken body to Circuit City and they gave me a new one. So...I'm up and running again! Yay!

Like a trouper, you've done a PAD though. And a great one at that.

God grief!! I'm sorta thinking of getting a backup for the DRebel but was waiting for the 1D MKII to be out....if this happens to me, CCity is supposed to just exchange it..I hope; gotta read that warranty again. GORGEOUS picture.

I just did that . . bought a spare . . . since my Oly C2100 & C2020 died (& I haven't gotten either fixed yet) . .I was using a borrowed Minolta point & shoot . . .Friday I found an Oly C740 for a good price (waffled between it & another Oly that is being discontinued & the media card is also) . .So now I'm happy with my substitute camera. Gotta have my daily PaD fix!!!

Better go buy a spare so you don't miss out! Good blending of colors.
