March 12, 2004

A different angle on yesterday's not posted daffodil. The macro setting had a habit of focusing on the furthest object in the viewfinder, so I decided to shoot up so there wouldn't be much background. I also wnated that blue sky in the photo. I like the edge of the building in this photo. But here's an alternate without the building.

I tried a few "jeans" shots today, but concluded them to be too risque for me.

Yup, this is the one. Love the building in it . . just sort of makes the shot.

I like this one Mark, you make the flower seem massive. Nice DOF used as well.

Really good shot

For a second, I thought: Not another flower photo. Then I saw the angle, and I saw the building, and I thought, this is really cool. Cool shot dude.

this is neat...the flower looks like a giant.

I agree with Ann. This is wonderful because of the contrasts in natural beauty and man made beaty.

Ann, it's the garden in my (condo assoc.) front yard. The building is the condo. No illusions ruined?

I like the building in there -- shows the beauty of nature right in the middle of our cities. Beautiful color. Feels like spring.

Mark... I like this! It gives one the impression of a little daffy struggling to live in a big, busy city. Of course, it's probably in a bed in a big, beautiful park! But, hey... don't ruin the illusion for me. Nice treatment of a very done subject. (If spring ever arrives here I am doing a daffy shot out of sheer joy to have finally seen one!)

LOL! David. The subject matter is so tiresome. Glad I found a different enough perspective on it. This was my first shot today. Of course I wasn't looking through the viewfinder. If I had known it was actually in focus I might have stopped with this one. But I can barely discern what's on my LCD out in the bright sunlight.

I prefer this because of its originality. Nice one, Mark.

I think I would lose it if you did a sexy jeans shot, but then again, I AM your sister!

Very different...colorful and smile provoking.

I like the angle, and the building adds to the effect.

and here I was thinking that if I saw another Daffodil pic I'd scream! But this is great!
