Rider by *Veronica

Oh, the weather was drippy, dreary & damp today. Really wanted to see if the A1 could capture
the spirit of the light and atmosphere.

I was in the park, looking at the gulls & geese, when out of nowhere this lonly person cycled up to me. At that moment, I realized that I was the one alone. I did indeed have a twinge of fear.
So be it.

I want to echo Jim's comments with one exception. I feel that if the guy wasn't coming towards the camera, or even facing the camera, the sense of "alone" would be even stronger.

Veronica, I think your A1 captured the mood very well, our rather, you captured the scene very well. The cyclist is well positioned in the image (ROT), and he is cycling "into" the frame. The leading lines of the pathways draw our eye to the subject. He stands out well because of the high contrast of his white coat and the drab, uncluttered background. An excellent composition.
