This photo was taken in Sarajevo in July of '92, not long after the beginning of the seige. I was doing a story on the first UN food deliveries and this was one of the distribution points. It was not well organized and everybody was unhappy. There was also the possibility that the Serbs would drop a mortar shell onto the waiting crowd. I never heard what this woman's complaint was, but she probably had a good one. Late in the afternoon the food boxes were finally passed out. It was the standard UN fare that the people of Sarajevo were going to be depending on for the next 4 years.
