Joop's Dog Log - Wednesday Feb 11

Almost everybody who commented on my John Kerry statement was positive about this politi-human.
And almost everybody hopes to see GWB lose. I see the same comments on other fotologs.
Now tell me: how can this be?
Are most Fotologhumans left-wing radicals?
Are most American Fotologhumans "Yellow Dog" Democrats, just like `jazzbiker`?
Are Fotologging American Republicans shy?
Are GWB fans too clumsy to take a picture or work on a computer?
Anyway, I was happy to read that Kerry takes a positive stand on animal rights.
If he`s going to be Top Dog he better be nice to us!

Let`s face it, The Shrub comes across as missing a few brain points and I don`t know any human over here with an ounce of brains who can stand the dude. In my opinion, his constituency is composed of what we call "middle America", the folks who still believe the spins, who still want so urgently to believe in their elected officials.
George Bush stole the presidency and some of us will never forgive that. Fotologgers are intelligent enough to get decent digital cameras and download from them. They would therefore be too smart on a whole to want him in office.
(climbing down off my soapbox now)

I wondered about that, too, Joop. I haven`t noticed right-wing folks as being shy about their beliefs; in fact, they have a whole news network here dedicated to that segment of the political spectrum.
I wish the comments here meant something, but I think it`s that the vast majority of those who`d vote for Bush just aren`t the type to use Fotolog.
If Bush wins again, can we move to your town?

The worrisome thing is that while it may not appear that there is any support for bush on f/l, he splits the country almost 50 -50. And the people that don`t like him REALLY don`t like him. I believe it was Time that ran a piece about bush being like no other president in history in the way he as divided people. But there are people out there that like him.
Watch your news tonight for this major speech, as the White House is calling it, on nuclear weapons. (Only he will call them nuc-u-lur weapons). He is trying all sorts of things right now to get his credibility back after the Iraq fiasco and he is going to try to make a case that he has made the world safer and the intelligence he used while not totally accurate was good enough for us to infiltrate the little deal in Pakistan where Kahn sold secrets to Libya and Korean, and the great bush administration caught Libya just in time and was able to disarm them. It all makes my head hurt. I just know that I do not like the man, find him a liar and stupid, hope the Democratic ticket is Kerry/Edwards and that they win big.

I`m not going to worried about it all, but of course it goes without saying that Anybody But Bush will be fine in my camp. I think the GWB fans are afraid they will be `flogged` if they show their hand here!!
Does he still have fans? Not many in my country...

Thanks Ann for that summary, now I needn`t bother watching the real speech...

Joop, my humans say that fotologging American republicans aren`t "shy" — they`re "sly." A lot of republicans, like the current administration, like to do things in secret; our local republicans wouldn`t even tell non-republicans where or when they were meeting to choose candidates for city council! And now there are new stories about peace activists being surveilled by the government. Republicans don`t mind keeping an Orwellian eye on the public, as long as the public isn`t keeping an eye on them! So, yes, Anybody But Bush. Hopefully Kerry`s momentum will take him into the White House. Or we`ll be moving to Pluto with Magali, Tizuka, and Flô — or maybe moving to Paterswolde!

Hi, Joop! You look handsome today!
Yes, I think GWB supporters might just be too dumb to figure out how to work a camera or a computer...
Whoops. Did I say that out loud? ;-)
You know, there really isn`t any ONE KIND of American. We all feel very differently, all across the board. I just hope that there are more people for the Democratic candidate than for Bush, when election time comes later in the year.

Some American fotologgers like me are too thin-skinned to discuss politics...
whether it is my own country, or Say, some other country other than my own. But if its another country, why would my views matter anyway? And why should I care? Hmmm... But America certainly seems to be a major topic :D
But for the record, Our household is neither Republican nor Democrat.... just honest and hopeful

Joop, you made my mom laugh out loud!!! Especially about the GWB fans being to clumsy to take photos! It seems like many of us feel the same way. I think we are about to see some ugly scandels coming out of the Republican Party to counter the popularity of the Democarts. It is not a proud time to be of the USA when take happens!
You look lovely in this photo. You paws are very delicate and charming.

Seems to me that the majority of fotologgers are very liberal. I think most artistic persons tend to lean left, because they often think with their hearts a little more than their heads. (And I don`t necessarily mean that negatively.) As for me, I`m very middle of the road politically. I get very frustrated when politics are discussed on the internet, however, because it always seems to come to nothing more than shouting tired-out slogans and childish name-calling.
As for the president, I`ll just say that it is a job I would never want. No matter what decision you might make, you`ll always end up pissing off half of the country.

Not much to add. It seems they`ve said it all, Joop. And it doesn`t surprise me that fotologgers, artists if you will, tend to lean just a tad to the left. It`s always been that way! I would posit that the vast majority of fotologgers in the U.S. will be voting for anybody so long as it`s not GWB. Kerry will do just fine, thanks everso!

NOOOOOOOO wasn`t meeeeee...this is of course my cousin Pelle in the garden house where the humans "hide" our treat stocks....this big bag once was filled and Pelle was quick enough to jump there and cleaned every remaining crumble....our humans thought to be very smart to put that stuff there, because the garden house has to door we cannot open.....weather is ok so far, little cold and snow flakes now and then.Bosslady woke up his morning like a Grandma.....(the ladie`s double and the champagne....).. from next week on there will be no more excuses " it is too dark after the end of a working day for a dog`s walk"....we will make her fit for spring..
