I was standing by the shore on the ice when a Muskrat, Ondatra zibethicus, swam under me! I quickly turned the camera to a fast shutter speed and shuffled as fast as could over it trying to get it’s picture. He swam for quite a distance under the ice to his “hidey-hole.” I thought it was interesting to see how being pressed against the ice flattened his back.
