Today was a lovely cold, gray, rainy day. My "gray" pictures didn't come out so well, so here's something warm. Thank you Ruth for loaning me the guitar.

Thank you, Patrick for your kind words. As the year, nay the week, progresses do feel free to give me some pointers on improving composition, lighting, etc. I am finding that digital makes rethinking my photos more immediate. Sometimes I can correct them that moment, other times make a note for "next time."

Mark - this image is positively GORGEOUS! LOVE the composition and the way you've cropped off parts of the guitar's body - LOVE the lighting... very dramatic! It conveys a rich, warm feeling to me, as though it had just been played and is now enjoying a well deserved intermission. Very artistically executed - bravo! :)
