Wolf spiders (Lycosidae) are very common in Australia and can be identified by the bright green eyeshine which can be observed
reflecting in car headlights while driving about at night (the observer, not the spider). The family Lycosidae is comprised of active,
ground dwelling predators, including some species that make "trap doors" and spring out alarmingly at small insects, and others that
forage over a wide area. Photographing these spiders on my lawn made me realise that they have different faces, different hair (fur?)
styles, and character-building scars, even within the same species.
