Kylie the spider

Coolatai, NSW Australia

Who can resist a face like that? This lycosid is in the process of macerating its meal, manipulating it with the small leg-like
structures (called "palps") as it sucks the pulped flesh between its rasping mandibles. As the end of the palps were thin, I identified
this spider is a female. She does have lovely eyes, though..
