Ohh.. that morning, a very cold morning, we wake up very early, just as you asked if we can go to catch some pictures in the early fog. Today, when I see this photo, it still chills me, but if I'd given a chance to be there, I would.

Perfect. Nothing less. The road draws you in, and clearly defined elements hold your attention. What more can I say? It's fantastic!

****I stand by my comment of December 6, 2003. Long before we began working together, Jen, this image, perhaps more than other represented your art in my mind. Very spiritual, sentimental, romantic, beautiful work. Not of this world, but a world of the imagination. You showed me a sound grasp of composition and abstraction back then, but your work was not of this world, but of another. Time and time again, you used scale incongruity to express a vast expanse of space, the power of nature, and the relative insignificance of man. All of that and more is in this image. And you relied heavily on form to overlay your content, almost as if you were afraid to let your ideas speak for themselves. So this image, too, is covered in sepia, which further removes it form reality.

I love the way that bridge floats in space out there in that cloud bank and that road slices through the image and goes right to it. If you want this to be a greeting card, keep it here, as is. If you want to use it as landscape, convert it to black and white, and remove the logo from the corner. The only flaw in this image, at least as far as I can see, are the cars parked next to that big tree. They are distractions -- too mundane to belong in this highly symbolic image.

that is a bracing morning.. : )
looks cool....that bird had better be agile...
headed right for the sun.
I think photo depicts much, very much.
easy on the eyes and spirit.
wonderful edges also....

Jenny, this image is incredible. Talk about scale incongruity! Everything is perfect -- the runner, the bird, the road, the mist, the bridge, the sun, the tree. It is like a stage set, and each actor has entered on cue for you.
Amazing.
