Chocolate Fudge Sundae

Thursday was my aunt Jean's 88th birthday.
Tonight she treated six of us out for dinner.

We placed our order and after waiting for some time noticed that white smoke was coming from the kitchen.
The manager came and told us that the extraction system over the grills had closed down which had automatically shut off the gas.
Most people left.
The starters were OK but we had to change our main course order to either duck, turkey or salmon that could be heated in the electric oven.
We got through two and a half bottles of pleasant wine.
For pudding I had this sundae which was jolly good, followed by coffee.

Jean asked for the bill and was given an apology for the limited menu and was told NO CHARGE!!!!

How about that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Well done Beefeater, Stanmore

Now there is a manager who knows how to run a restaurant! Free meals and sundaes for the inconvenienced customers! Great shot of this delicacy, Chris - you have my mouth watering! LOL
