***Lovely juxtaposition of symbols. Not being able to read Chinese or understand the nature of that document, puts me at a disadvantage here, so I can't tell you what it means. But I am sure you know, Jen, and it has great meaning to you or would not have made this image. The sepia tells me that this is more symbolic than reality.
To my own eye, this flower reads as nature's art. The Chinese character on that document are man's art. Two forms of art meet in a very small space to express some kind of ceremonial or ritualistic meaning.
