I met a young woman here in the park, despite our language differences. She told me her name was Graziana, and I knew barely enough Brasilian to tell her my name is Nancy. She was walking her two dogs in the park and they came over to me while I was sitting on a bench composing a picture of the church. We shook hands, and she was a very gentle, gracious person. I WILL learn to be more fluent in Brasilian Portuguese before my next visit!
