We both visited Penscot Guest House (as it was then) in Shipham, Somerset when we were 10 years old with our respective primary schools (both came under Middlesex County Council). Adrienne in 1956 myself in 1957. The "school journey" lasted for one week and we were taken to many interesting places in the area.

We decided to have this holiday so as to retrace some of our early steps. We rented a cottage in the village of Chewton Mendip.
