The transmitter mast at Pen Hill Somerset is 1000ft (300m) tall. I think the moving clouds may have put me off slightly!!

Thank you Patrick. It was a most interesting sight. I was sitting on the large concrete block that held the cable ends. I borrowed the straightening idea from David Mingay.
