Marek and Doug,
It is flare actually, even it was 7:00pm but the summer sun was very bright! I couldn't aim it directly.
Plus, I can't imagine a hexangular sun, can you? Doug, how did you make the noon in that sharp? Would that be the result of long exposure and outside the fucus?

i think that it is sun m... ; )
such strong shadowing on this side of the bird seem to indicate that... unless the moon is wonderfully bright...
i had such a shape from a cool tropical moon two weeks ago... almost seems like a matching twin, although a slight bit tinier... ; )
love your image... beautiful composition and such distinct and strong shapes... also elements of man's creation alongside nature's creation of course...

Yes, I like the arrangement of shapes very much. Just a little question: Is that the sun, or is it flare?
****This is the second image in your 14 picture photo essay, Jen. It is a spectacular black and white abstraction that once again links man and nature but in an entirely unexpected way. (You might want to try to recrop and realign this image so as to make the bridge level, instead of dipping downwards.)
