Trisha: Not very far. I'm only using 105mm in this picture. I can't help but take a few of the seagulls while I'm at the beach. They tend to come pretty close to the people standing on the pier. I'd say it was probably flying about 10 feet from me when I took this shot. I like this one a lot, but I'm not sure if it'll make it as my one picture for today. I'm hung between three that I like for today.
