The Christopher Columbus statue and memorial fountain, dedicated in 1912, sit in front of Union Station in Washington, D.C. They were recently reopened after a major project restored the water features and cleaned the marble plaza. National Guardsmen can be seen gathered in front of it in this drive-by shot.
