Splash of color

Now the hydrangeas are blooming on Capitol Hill. I wish we had one in our front yard, but we don’t, so I have to enjoy them elsewhere.

The prettiest hydrangeas are the variety called Annabelle, huge white balls all summer long ... if they grow like crazy in Quebec City's frigid and long Winters, it'll grow anywhere!

I haven't had success with them because late spring freezes kill the buds. There are some that bloom on old wood and some on new wood. You really have to go to a nursery where there' knoeledgeable help.
