Today, I only got 5 plants actually into pots today and still have 7 more to go for the courtyard...
Slow today because the plants I impulsively bought at the local Garden Center have an iffy growth pattern for the sizes and types of pots I bought last year just for the courtyard. So, I kept running back and forth between looking up what exactly the plants will do during the next several months and where I plan to put them. My husband commented that watching me was making him tired. This year was supposed to be better thought out than last year, but it hasn't been. The new are very pretty, but many won't work for the pots and area I have. I'll have to see if I can now get more suitable plants for the remaining pots. Unfortunately, it's late in the season and most garden stores are winding down in supply.
If doesn't rain tomorrow, I'm going to try to finish off more of the deck. The Calibrachoas and petunias - that won't work in the courtyard - can go back there. This is the first year that I've actually noted how chaotic and time-consuming planting Spring annuals at our house really is. Hopefully, I'll be done by the first of June and can then just enjoy things.
