The Thai Sala (open-sided pavilion) in Munich's Westpark was built as part of the 1983 International Garden Exhibition to showcase authentic Thai architecture.
This sala, which houses the first consecrated Buddha statue in Germany, was a gift from the Thai Government and created by the Thai artists and craftsmen.
