After Dropping my wife off at the Grand Opening of the Canaan Valley Spa (she met two girlfriends to go with); I drove over to the CVNWR Freeland Road Boardwalk.
Didn't see much of any bird activity; so I drove back to Timberline and parked behind the maintenance building - and hiked down to Spruce Island Lake impoundment.
Not much happening here either, but I did encounter a pair of Black-capped Chickadees and three of these Red-breasted Nuthatches.
