Galium sphinx moth caterpillar (Hyles gallii), #7893 [Sept 2]

Also called Bedstraw Hawkmoth. The main food is bedstraw species, in the case of this one, it was found in area of abundant Galium mollugo (an introduced bedstraw plant). The moth is native to Canada.
