Early Spring Sugar Maple Tree

Canaan Valley, West Virginia

On this cool, rainy Spring morning, I've been waiting for the rain to stop and some bird activity to start.
Took a few images of our Sugar Maple trees to document Springtime at 3,267' elevation.
Over the 38 years we've been coming to Canaan Valley, lately, climate/weather changes are causing our trees to sicken and die off - lots of dead standing (and fallen) trees.
I don't think lichen will kill these trees, but lately we're getting excessive lichen on our sugar maple trees.

These, at least, look vibrant and wonderful.
