Gallium sphinx moth ( Hyles gallii), #7893

New Edinburgh, Ottawa

Also called Bedstraw Hawk Moth. Unfortunately, this one was found dead by a friend who called me over to take a look at it. Although I've photographed the caterpillars of this species, this is the first adult (moth) I've seen.
