Bar Sink or Bathtub? 11-01-24

Rather than hire a contractor to just redo our kitchen, we're working with the vendors directly and then subcontracting recommended people to do the work that my husband isn't doing himself.

Thanks to Wayfair, our new bar sink is now here. Of course, there is no place to store it before installation day. So, it's now sitting on a doormat in our foyer. The mat will prevent the ceramic sink bottom from scratching our Italian porcelain tile flooring.

Although the Kohler Iron/Tones 17" top-/undermount single-bowl bar sink with a depth of 7-1/2 inches (191 mm) is on the deeper end for bar sinks, it's not outside the normal range. However, it certainly looks a lot larger than the bar sink that it is replacing. Because of its small size, I seldom used the old sink. Once it is installed, I think I'm going to like this one's larger size. It feels like a "real" sink. It's certainly big enough to use to wash a Chihuahua if I want to.

Interestingly, the Aspen Green color is chameleonlike and changes with different lighting.
