I think this image came from after the summit of Ebbetts Pass, after we camped overnight at an un-signed but perfectly serviceable
forest service campground just before the gate with which the road is closed for the winter season.
I don't know whether we're still in the designated Scenic Byway here. New information: That campground is Centerville Flat Campground,
on Silver Creek shortly before it joins the South Fork, Carson River.
