Adolphus Hotel

Dallas, Texas

My splurge was to stay at this historic hotel in downtown Dallas, across the street from the AT&T Discovery District.
The hotel was built in 1912 by Adolphus Busch of Anheuser-Busch. It has been named one of the top ten in the US by Conde Nast Traveler and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
A very nice experience. Rooms are very spacious.
This view is from the AT&T Discovery Plaza across the street.

Nicely exposed with the mixed lighting. I like the strong perspective and clarity in this well composed capture. VV

I hope you loved it there.
I am jealous as I have never stayed.

Very nice, and it's well lit. I'm no sure I'd want one of the rooms facing the plaza and its huge LED display, though, unless the curtains are REALLY effective.

a distinguished building that stands out even as it is dwarfed by its surroundings...that's a well-packed frame..

This looks from the front like the historic "Peabody Hotel" in Memphis, TN. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is world-famous for its five resident Mallard ducks, who march in the lobby. :). I stayed there back in the 90´s and it is located in downtown, not far a away from the B.B.King Club. I hope your stay was a great experience as is your shot.! V
