Unobscured by the passing gondola of the previous shot, a view of Val Veny and its river unfolds before us.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of water flowing at the moment - it's too late in the season for that - but it's worth considering that this entire valley would have been carved out by that water over a period of more time than a person can realistically imagine.
