He's an early riser. Our girls like to sleep in like me.

Their perch above is one of two shelves custom built into our kitchen cabinets. The shelves' original design was to hold cookbooks. However, our Chihuahuas quickly claimed it as a daybed. After they kept pushing the cookbooks off, the books were removed from the lower shelf. That's okay. This shelf gets far more used by the Chihuahuas than the cookbooks ever did by me. Now, either a computer or our new refrigerator (with its built-in tablet) can give us recipes. And the Chihuahuas continue to feel at home on the shelf. The shelf is only 12x24". But that's big enough for 3 Chihuahuas together.
