Shortly after the previous frame, another gondola passed us on its downward leg. If I'm not mistaken I can see another patron videoing the experience too.

The backdrop to the shot is the valley Val Veny and its river the Dora di Veny which run south west to north east along the base of the Alps. Map image M003 puts it into context.

(Unfortunately I couldn't do much about the reflection of a passenger's shirt in the glass. Still, it could be worse. It could perhaps have been better too had I done this as a real photo rather than a video frame grab. Then I could have put the lens closer to the glass.)
