Waiting to Be Finished 11-06-24

My husband dug the hole https://pbase.com/britestar/image/174654182 and put in the 3-basalt stone fountain pillars himself earlier in May. One of the pillars weighs 350 pounds (with the others not being much lighter), but he still did everything without help. Not bad for a senior citizen who recently retired! He also wired everything and got the pump going. The only thing that he couldn't do was add the pebbles for the water to recirculated through. That is supposed to be done by the landscapers.

It's now going on to Mid-November. So far, the landscaping company (that we have signed a contract with) haven't done any physical work. Except for more weeds in the areas to be landscaped, nothing is new. We're currently at a standstill, as we have been all Summer and Fall so far. The fountain, that my husband installed single handedly, actually looks good when running. But it doesn't look as good as it should with the drain pan showing and no pebbles covering that; plus, with no landscaping surrounding it.

Maybe in the Spring... We were hoping for late August/early September for everything to be done. But obviously that hasn't happened.

He seems like quite the advanced handyman. Bet he saves you folks a bunch of money by doing so much of the work himself.

Kudos to your husband, but I think a new landscaper might be in order Liz.

I can relate ....we are waiting months for various tradesmen.

Seems like your husband did all the hard work! Is it illegal for you to place the pebbles?
