The edge of the road we were travelling on was lined with several neglected, but still surviving, plum trees. Amazingly these trees are still producing fruit and I'm sure the birds in the area must relish it. The other surprising fact is we have driven by these trees for years and never noticed the fruit before...maybe this is just a good year for plums. ;-)
