This is Yellow Duck, our long time backyard resident who has a gentle, cheerful disposition. He's kind of a bashful fellow though and tends to stay in the quiet spots under the shrubs around the pond. Generally he has a peaceful life except for his one nemesis, the raccoons. They can be real bullies and seem to think he's the perfect playmate. After surviving a night of their games he turns up in unusual spots around the yard, looking confused and longing for a quiet refuge under the bushes. We help him back to one of his hideaways and keep our fingers crossed that he'll survive his next encounter.
