We found a nice Yakitori place on our first night in Tokyo.
Skewered and grilled chicken. It was delicious.
It was a smallish place, a couple of levels below the street.
It was interesting to see a stream of suited salary men arrive to fill the place up.
Lots of end of day discussion, laughter, eating and drinking. And yes, smoking.
Tobacco is still prevalent in Japan and allowed in dining areas. At least in the big cities.
Our meals would get much more elaborate and more delicious.
