National Pet Day, celebrated each year, is a holiday with two major purposes: to encourage people to celebrate their pets because of the joy those pets bring to their lives and to raise awareness about the large number of animals not as lucky to have forever homes. All pets can be celebrated on National Pet Day. Whether you have cats, dogs, rodents, reptiles, or even a parrot, everybody can get involved on April 11. Pets have the remarkable ability to bring boundless joy, comfort, and companionship to their owners. National Pet Day celebrates these cherished companions and aims to raise awareness.
