Much to my amazement, the Kansas City Chiefs' winning has made them the team that everyone (but Chiefs fans, of course) now LOVE TO HATE. Guess I've been naive about these kinds of things. I'm not a hater. Meanwhile, the haters don't look at how much good the various team members do in everyday life. To me, football is just a game. Sometimes you win and your fans are very happy. Sometimes you don't win, and your fans will still look to you as role models.

Members of the Chiefs over the years (even before their current winning streak) have always helped their local community. Today, several of them were at Harvesters (a much-needed charity that I strongly support) https://www.harvesters.org/ They say that this is just one way of supporting their fans. This also wasn't their first time, nor will it be their last. So many members on this team have given back (and continue to give back) to their community in so many different & positive ways. This is the main reason that I like them.

I couldn't root for anyone I didn't respect.
