Every day since the February 14, 2024 Super Bowl Shooting https://pbase.com/britestar/super_bowl_shooting , there has been another act of gun violence in the Greater Kansas City metro. I've lost track of how many of these incidents can be considered "mass shootings." So far, this one can't because only 2 shooting victims have been found at the school. But there were more shooters involved than just the 2 wounded. One victim is in critical condition, and the other one is in serious condition. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/shooting-outside-high-school-basketball-game-north-kansas-city-multiple-injuries/
Today's shooting comes just 2 days after a fatal shooting in Independence, Missouri (another part of the Greater Kansas City Metro and the former home of the late US President Truman): https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/independence-officer-civil-process-server-killed-in-shooting-2-other-officers-wounded-suspect-arrested/ar-BB1j7Mur
During the days before that, there were a number of other fatal shootings on the East side of Kansas City, Missouri.
With some of the least restrictive gun laws in the Nation, perhaps Missouri has a "gun problem."
No place is safe anymore. People have even been shot and killed inside their own homes by "stray bullets".
