The Garden of the Royal Danish Library is a public garden in central Copenhagen, Denmark

The Garden of the Royal Danish Library, 'Det Kongelige Biblioteks Have', or just 'Bibliotekshaven' in Danish, is situated between the Royal Library and Christianborg Place.

This snowfall hit the library garden while I visited in December 2023 a couple of days before Christmas.

At its heart, a pond lies dark and still, broken only by drifting lily pads. Trees stand like sentries, branches twisting toward the library’s stone walls, each path winding in shadow and root.

A single bird call rings out, sharp and clear, then fades back into the silence.
