Jasper was our 3rd Border Collie, named after Jasper National Park, British Columbia. He was rescued in 2008 through Border Collie specific rescue agency, and I drove over 1,600 miles(rt) to get him.
Nickname: Sprocket
Favorite Things Order: Ball, Frisbee, Ball, Getting pets, hiking and walking.
He had an unhealthy obsession with moving cars. This all started with his first family, where they left him in the back yard all the time, with nothing for entertainment but passing road traffic. It was Jasper's only vice, which I trained out of him for the most part. A total gem of a dog and a rare small-frame low-drive, super capable Border Collie. He was always just as happy to spend a whole day hanging out at home, or the whole day chasing a ball, or going on an 12 mile hike in the snow, and anything in between. Every single day, he was a super good boy.
Jasper is around 4 years old in this image.
He lived and played hard for over 15 years in the mountains around Durango and Vail, Colorado.
