Our second Border Collie, named after the Isle of Skye, Scotland. He was rescued from a shelter in Utah in 1996.
Nickname: Bumper
Favorite Things Order: Food, food, getting pets, hiking and walking.
Skye was a bit of a wild child, always the star of the party, and often just a big goof ball.
When we collected him from the shelter, he had a palm-sized area shaved on his right side to allow for treatment and healing of a minor injury he no doubt brought on himself.
Like all of our rescued BCs, he became part of the family at about 2 years of age, and he's around 15 in this photo. Skye was a large-frame medium-drive Border Collie.
He lived and played for over an amazing 16 years in the mountains near Powder Mountain Ski Resort.
His ashes were spread in the high Rocky Mountains along with his brother Sundance's ashes.
