To reach The Catacombs 21 meter below Paris, you walk down a narrow spiral staircase until
you reach a series of tunnels. When you reach a gate saying "Arrete! C'est ici l'empire
de la mort". From this point there are thousands of bones stacked along openings in the tunnels.
This one area had bones stacked in a circular form, the reason unknown to me. To return to the
surface you had to walk back up the spiral staircase.
