156] Two Sides to Every Story

Author ~ Andrea Scibilia

Judges Comments

(i) Content (story, mood etc): A clever comparison of male-female, human-skull etc
(ii) Composition: having the main subjects off-centre, with a lot of negative space, adds to the overall impact of the image
(iii) Technical (lighting etc): Good use of aperture to have both models mostly in focus (which adds to the impression of them being
blurred together), good use of make up etc. The ear in the centre of the image (and the man's neck) are a little too bright
in comparison with the exposure of the rest of the faces - perhaps some blusher on the ear and neck would have made
them less obvious. If you like this sort of subject, check out Roger Ballen https://www.rogerballen.com/ballenesque/)
