Judges Comments

(i) Content (story, mood etc): A story of a new rose opening its petals on a wet and overcast day, with an overall mood of softness
(ii) Composition: The main subject is in the centre of the frame, and the petals are like circles around the centre of the rose - however
we are seeing the rose from an angle - could you have shot the rose front on so we could see the overall patterns in the flowers?
(iii) Technical (lighting etc): Lovely soft lighting (not hard light or shadows) which suits the mood of the image
