Cattle Egrets

Bubulcus ibis

This flock of Cattle Egrets were high up in a distant tree enjoying the sunshine.
They are actually a small, compact white heron that prefers dry habitats. Unlike
other egrets, they rarely get their feet wet. The one with the wings spread is in
its non-breeding appearance while the other two are in their breeding form.
