Arrival

Adelaide, Australia

Thank you to everyone for your kind comments about leaving Japan.
Mika and I have now arrived in Adelaide for the next chapter of our lives.
New job, new city, new country, new challenges and new things for photo a day.
Sorry Alan...

This quarter at least looks very modern. I spent my whole working life in the same town, so your kind of exciting lifestyle is quite alien to me.

I'm envious of your working travels. Must be so interesting and enjoyable to experience different places.
All the best in Australia! v

It looks much different from the Adelaide we visited some 35 years ago when living in Canberra. I can't speak for the city, but Australia is a fascinating place with countless photo ops, and I'm sure you'll enjoy your time there.

Oh. Mein. Gott. Look, there's nothing actually WRONG with Adelaide, but... photographically it's about as interesting as Wagga. It's certainly far less colourful in all senses than Japan.
Looking on the positive side... it's a good staging point to get to see other parts of AU which are indeed worth photographing. I suggest you look into Kangaroo Island as a taster,
Good luck with the new phase of life!

a new country to sample, and a rather different climate as well...a smart POV draws the eye in to the scene so effectively...
