State Library of South Australia

Adelaide, Australia

Spending a few days simply being a tourist before starting work.
This library opened in 1884 and could be in Edinburgh. It certainly follows the British architecture of the time for important civil buildings.

Nicely composed with the strong perspective and depth. A really nice exposure enhanced by the clarity and tight framing. Very nicely captured Bill. VV

Looks like an amazing library to spend time in. The lighting brings some wonderful warm tones, Bill.V

It does have a nice atmosphere to it, though I wouldn't be surprised if there was a more digital-friendly wing to the building as well. A number of state libraries (including Sydney's) have gone that route.
If you're doing "touristy", you may want to get around to some of the churches as well. One of Adelaide's "a.k.a's" is "the city of churches". It ain't Firenze, but there are some attractive churches from past centuries there.

classy shot captures the stylish interior very well...here's your chance to pick up on some real Aussie culture that doubtless goes much deeper than the widely disseminated stereotypes..
